Dear Cavalier Daily alumni and friends,
I hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer! We are writing to follow up on an exciting opportunity to support the Cavalier Daily staff.
Earlier this spring, we invited you to join the second iteration of the Cavalier Daily Alumni Association’s mentorship program. The student journalists are excited to connect with alumni, but we are still looking to have a few more of our members sign up as mentors.
Alumni who fill out this form will be paired with a current student or recent graduate who shares common interests or career goals. When you are matched, you will receive each other’s contact information. The program is largely informal, but we hope that you and the student will set up a phone or Zoom call and get to know each other. Our goal is to connect CD staff with our alumni community and show them the wide variety of career and educational paths available to them.
We will finalize the pairings in the next few weeks to match everyone up by the end of July.
If you are interested, please fill out this form by July 21 to sign up. If you completed the form earlier this spring, we still have your responses and you do not need to fill it out again.
