The John Herring Scholarship

2013 John Herring Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a Cavalier Daily staffer participating in a media-related internship that will enhance his/her journalism skills and contributions to The Cavalier Daily.

Scholarship Amount:  $1,000
$500 at the beginning of the internship and $500 at the end, upon receipt of a portfolio of the Summer’s work.

Notes: This scholarship is available to rising second-, third- and fourth-year students who have served on The Cavalier Daily staff for at least one semester and who will serve at least one semester after completion of the internship.

Internships MUST be in media-related fields. This is not limited to media organizations but to any position which includes media-related work.

The Scholarship Committee may use the materials submitted for consideration of other CDAA scholarships.

At the conclusion of the internship, a portfolio of your work must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee NO LATER THAN September 30, 2013.
