2nd UVA Economics GRAD Conference
Charlottesville, VA | September 22-23, 2017 

 

Submission Deadline:  August 15, 2017

The second research meeting of the University of Virginia economics Alumni Interest Group will be held September 22-23 on the UVA grounds.  Its goal is to provide research feedback, and foster collaboration among our members.

All economists who have graduated from UVA (Whether at the graduate or undergraduate level) are encouraged to submit papers in all areas of economic research. All submissions, both empirical and theoretical, are welcome, and there is no submission fee.  All presentations will be in plenary sessions, and each paper will be assigned a discussant.  Completed papers (which will be given preference) or extended abstracts should be submitted electronically by August 15, 2017.  See below for submission instructions.

The research presentations will take place Friday, September 22nd.  This year we are very excited to have Catherine Eckel (PhD 1983) joining us from Texas A&M to present the keynote address that evening, followed by a dinner with alumni and Economics Department faculty.  Saturday will include a tailgate picnic in the Lawn Gardens and a group outing.  Those who are not able to attend the research sessions are still encouraged to attend these other events.

The final conference program and agenda will be announced at the end of August.

 

Paper Submission Procedure
