Fiscal Year July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023
The fiscal year that ended June 30, 2023, was another successful year for Eli and The Eli Banana Fund (the “Fund”). Even with challenges in the capital markets and gift disbursements, the Fund maintained its asset level of over $2.3 million. The Fund continued to positively impact the UVA community through its continued support of the Eli Endowment for Historic Preservation and the Eli Scholarship Endowment for deserving students in the Greek system. We also continued our support for the Bob Green Fund for Prostate Cancer Research and the Student Veterans of America at UVA organization. We anticipate supporting these and similar initiatives in the coming years.
The Eli organization is thriving. Active membership levels are robust. We continued our support of the Drum and Robe Convocation (formerly the Whiskey Conference) in the fall and a very successful tent at the spring Foxfield races. Eli continued its “History Night” in advance of the Drum and Robe Convocation to educate active Elis about our history and traditions.
Our organization continues to attract great members and retains its historic significance and prestige within the Greek system. We encourage everyone to attend our Eli events in FY 2024 and beyond. We expect a great time and full house at the 2024 Foxfield tent this spring (April 27, 2024) and hope to see numerous Elis in attendance.
