Scholarship Information

The Virginia Glee Club Singer Scholarship is a performance-based $1,000 scholarship open to current students at the University of Virginia, undergraduate or graduate, who are also current or prospective members of the Virginia Glee Club, a tenor-bass chorus on Grounds.

Students who wish to apply for the scholarship must submit an application and complete an audition with the Virginia Glee Club conductor. Upon being awarded a scholarship, applicants must complete one full year of membership with the Virginia Glee Club, in addition to maintaining exemplary rehearsal and event attendance as set forth by the Virginia Glee Club member manual.

Scholarships will be awarded in May at the Finals Concert by a designee of the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association.

The scholarship is a one-time award to be paid across the fall and spring semesters.
