KA Brother Leads UVA Shooting Sports

Charlie Thompson, a member of the chapter’s newest pledge class, was elected President of the Virginia Rifle and Pistol Club for the 2019-2020 school year, after serving as captain of the Trap and Skeet team for the past two semesters. The highlight of his tenure as captain was leading the team with an impressive 95/100 in Skeet at the Collegiate National Championships in San Antonio, Texas this March.  VRPC has been an establishment at the school for over 50 years and provides students with the ability to get on the range and break clays during the week and travel to competitions on the weekend. This is a great way to keep the Kappa Alpha connection alive and give brothers an easy opportunity to learn to shoot or sharpen their skills for competitions and hunting season.
