Dear Zeta Alumni,

I hope this email finds you well. As a valued member of our fraternity chapter, I am reaching out to share some exciting news about a significant restoration project that we have undertaken at McCormick Hall. We have already raised over $10,000 for this cause with another $6,000 in pledged donations towards the project, and we are eager to complete this restoration, revitalizing a key element of the house’s rich history.

One of the most prominent features of our house is the Grand Staircase. Whether it be Boots’ yearly Christmas toast or our more recent tradition of Fratsgiving and Brother’s Dinner speeches, it holds a special place in all of our memories. Unfortunately, over the years, weathering and natural wear and tear have taken their toll on this iconic structure. To preserve this valuable piece of our fraternity’s legacy for future generations, we have taken the initiative to restore the staircase to its former glory.

We have already taken significant steps in this restoration process, having engaged contractors who have planned the renovation to ensure it aligns with the original design while meeting modern safety standards. With your support, we aim to complete the renovation over the upcoming Christmas holidays, allowing us to unveil the restored staircase at the beginning of the spring semester, just in time for our 2024 Rush.

Our goal is to raise an additional $5,000 to cover the remaining costs of the renovation. Your continued support is crucial in helping us achieve this ambitious target. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tangible difference in preserving this cherished part of our fraternity’s history.

Your dedication to our fraternity has always been invaluable, and we hope that you will consider contributing to this meaningful cause. Your donation will not only help us restore the Grand Staircase but also ensure that future generations of the chapter can continue to appreciate this significant piece of our collective heritage.

To make a donation, please visit our online donation portal. Additionally, if you have any questions or would like further information about the project, please do not hesitate to contact Alumni Chair, Cooper Wyatt (pmq4zx@virginia.edu) or Grand Master, Will Clemens (mpx2uz@virginia.edu).

Thank you in advance for your support and commitment to preserving the Zoo’s legacy. Together, we can ensure that McCormick Hall remains a symbol of our shared traditions for years to come.

Best,
