This past year, Phi Psi hosted a variety of social events throughout the fall and spring semesters. Ranging in size and theme, the events were all well attended and successful. According to third year Ryan Caradonna (’15), one of his favorite social events of the year is the Christmas Date Function. “We get to embrace the holiday season—the main room’s decorated with lights, a fire and a tree—while also enjoying each other’s company.” Some of the other social events include: 80s Night with a rock and roll band, St. Patrick’s Day Party, a ‘Mathletes and Athletes’ themed date function, a skeet shooting afternoon at alumnus Ben Warthen (’65)’s mountain house, and a black tie Parents Formal. According to current social chair, James Oldenburg (’15), “There’s always something going on at Phi Psi. We are masters of balancing the energetic events with the more social ones. Our location and tradition at 159 Madison enables us to engage in a variety of social activities that ultimately bring us closer together.”
