November 2021

We are happy to report that the chapter’s recruitment efforts for the year are off to a successful start. The brothers conducted an informal fall rush from mid-September to mid-October. The University prohibits recruitment of first-year students during the fall, so this rush was limited to upperclassmen. Despite that limitation, the actives were able to recruit four new brothers during this period.

Please welcome the following new members of Psi Chapter:

  • Param Damle, Aldie, VA, Computer Science, 2024
  • Joseph Fisher, The Plains, VA, Physics, 2023
  • Ian Harvey, Summit, NJ, Computer Science, 2024
  • Kieran Lynch, Ashburn, VA, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2024

The actives are excited by this success and eager to dive into open rush (including first-years) in the Spring. The chapter is currently developing a rush plan, event schedule, and budget. The AAG is assisting in this effort and plans to provide supplemental rush funds to the chapter to meet any funding gap that we identify. Together, we are confident that continued success in the Spring will allow the chapter to return to a sustainable size going into the 2022-2023 academic year.
