December 2017 Update

Another beautiful fall season is upon us here in Charlottesville, Virginia. A new semester brings a new dynamic to the current status of the house. The departure of 18 actively involved fourth year students leaves the door open for new members to step up into leadership roles. A new semester provides a new opportunity for current members to welcome other University students to SAE through social gatherings.

The social events that have taken place thus far include: Welcome back day event, Friday afternoon day parties, “What would you be without a degree” date function, William & Mary / Uconn / Parents tailgates, Halloween Date function, Christmas Formal, and Woodstock. The social success of the fall goes to this years Social Chairmen: Jack Miller (second-year pledge class), Harrison Putney (third-year pledge class), and veteran Graham Muller (fourth-year pledge class). The premier event of the fall, Woodstock, consisted of a yard covered with tie-dye sheets, active members in tie-dye apparel, and a front lawn full of UVA students enjoying live music and fellowship. The two bands that performed at the event were South Hill Banks opening for Los Colones.
