Letter From Former Alumni Chairman, Lachlan Bill (Com ’26)

My name is Lachlan Bill (Com ’26), and I am a third-year student in the McIntire School of Commerce. I served as the Alumni Relations Chairman for the Sigma Nu Beta Chapter last year, and I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my time in the role. I am incredibly thankful to all the alumni who reached out to me seeking to be more involved in the fraternity. Your assistance was invaluable.

I was very fortunate to be placed in a role where I could make a difference. I worked with many active brothers to organize an alumni speaker series, and I would like to give a special thank you to Nick Koziolek (Com ’20), Matthew Renk (Com ’20), Balram Prasad (Col ’20), and Ray Massey (Com ’19) for their time and contributions to our members seeking a job in the financial and consulting sectors. I also organized an alumni event last semester during Homecomings Weekend against Boston College. Again, assistance from the current brothers was necessary to make the event a success, and I was very happy to see the alumni return to the house and connect with our active members.

Most of all, I want to give a special thank you to Terry Birkel (Col ’69), Rich Cifaldi (Col ’96), and Nick Koziolek (Com ’20). Their contributions were critical to making my time as the Alumni Relations Chairman a success, and I look forward to seeing how our alumni position continues to grow over the coming years as we continue to host alumni events and formally establish our mentorship program.

I am spending this semester abroad at HEC Paris, but I cannot wait to return to Grounds and continue to cherish my time in this brotherhood. The fraternity is in fantastic hands with the new leadership, and please reach out to any of us if you seek to be more involved.

Fraternally,
Lachlan Bill (Com ’26)
