Andrew Tran
Hello. My name is Andrew Tran and I am a rising fourth year at UVA studying computer science and statistics. I am pursuing a career in software engineering or product management. I’d also like to get my MBA at some point, as my parents have always encouraged me to strive for higher education. Being in Sigma Nu means having a community that’s always there for me, whether I’m going through my highest highs or lowest lows.
The brothers in Sigma Nu have pushed me to be more involved on campus, be more ambitious, and give back to the people who’ve supported me. Since joining, I know I’ve made lifelong friends who will support me at every step of life and uphold the values of love, honor, and truth.

When I joined Sigma Nu, I only knew a few current brothers. Since immersing myself in the brotherhood, I have made lifelong friends. The culture of our chapter has motivated me to become a better person. Whether it be academics, relationships, or even IM sports, each brother has encouraged me to become the best I can be. I have had the honor of serving as Lieutenant Commander over the past semester.
Throughout my term, I have been faced with both successes and challenges. Working alongside my brothers has allowed me to help guide our chapter through these highs and lows. Knowing I’m backed by the unwavering support of my closest friends has allowed me to feel confident in my leadership abilities. Understanding the customs and traditions of the Beta chapter of Sigma Nu makes me confident that the future of our fraternity is in good hands.
