On November 7th, we will be hosting our first annual Waffle Casa, a waffle brunch benefitting Court Appointed Special Advocates. The event will be held at the Kappa Alpha Theta house, with seating set out so the sisters, friends and family can enjoy one another’s company while they hear speakers from the local CASA talk about what it means to be a CASA and how we can all help. Waffles will be served throughout the morning, and attendance is free, with donations encouraged.

CASA has become particularly important to our chapter in the past few years because our Chief Marketing Officer, Kylie Chase’s parents have become foster parents to a little girl named Mallory, who has her very own CASA to make sure that she is safe and happy in her new home. Having this personal connection to the work that CASA does has been an amazing experience for our chapter. We get to hear first-hand stories about a cause we have been invested in for so long.

So in honor of Mallory, and all the other children that have benefitted immensely from Court Appointed Special Advocates, we have planned this Waffle Casa. The day also falls on the morning of Parent’s Formal, so we hope to see many parents and siblings at the event. We’re so excited to be able to share this day with everyone and support our philanthropy.
