The Quentin Alcorn Memorial Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded each year to an outstanding member of the UVA Greek community who best exemplifies Quent Alcorn, a former Xi Chapter President, and his characteristics of dedication, selfless service, love of learning, and a capacity for fun and humor.

This May, the trustees chose Carson Coulbourn as the fifth recipient of the scholarship. A native of Richmond, VA, Carson is a rising third-year at UVA and a sister in Kappa Kappa Gamma where she serves as her house’s Philanthropy Chair. While also maintaining a 4.0 major GPA, Carson is involved in a variety of different causes around Grounds, and she will be a great representative of the scholarship.

In just five years, the Quentin Alcorn Scholarship has raised over $130K and aspires to raise a $200K endowment in the near future. If you wish to donate to the Scholarship, you can securely do so here. As this year’s schedule was delayed due to COVID-19 and the interviews were shifted to Zoom, we want to sincerely express our thanks to everyone who played a part in the process through the interviews, reading applications, and donations.
