Causes and Consequences of the Russian War in Ukraine

Dear Retired Faculty and Friends,

We are pleased to continue offering virtual programming selections again this year. This month we are joined by the Department of Politics’ Professor Allen Lynch, who will be presenting on the “Causes and Consequences of the Russian War in Ukraine,” which will focus on the interaction of three “factors” explaining the Russian decision to go to war against Ukraine in late February 2022: Russian colonialism, American maximalism, and Ukrainian ethno-nationalism. Any durable solution to the war will thus have to entail significant changes in each of these elements.

We hope you will join us for this presentation, via Zoom, on Monday, November 21, at 12 noon.
