Happy Fall!

The Chorus hit the ground running, singing during the Rotunda Sing after two extra rehearsals before classes even started. They learned my arrangement of Rise Up, and reviewed Storm Comin’. The ladies were awesome!

We continued our breakneck-speed by preparing three songs for our inaugural benefit concert that took place less than 2 weeks after our first rehearsal. Special shout out to our eleven new members who took it all in stride! The VWC performances were astounding! For more information about the “Women Against Violence: Rise Up” concert, see below.

Early November brings the opportunity to continue our historic site project that we began last semester. We are excited to record in the Dome Room of the Rotunda! If you would like to see and hear our performances at the Fralin Museum of Art, you can click to view And So It Goes and Over the Rainbow.

As always, the ladies work very hard and take great pride in their music, and we hope to make you proud to be associated with such a superb ensemble. Without you and your amazing support we would not be able to continue providing an excellent musical experience and a treasured community for our members. Thank you for your generosity!

If you’re in the Charlottesville area, we would love to see you at our Candlelight Concerts in the Chapel the first weekend of December. The theme is “Northern Lights” and will feature Anastasia Jellison, harpist. The concerts promise to usher in the true spirit of the season. Hope to see you soon!

Best,

KaeRenae
