“The Asian Student Union and the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon Fraternity Inc. at UVA brought Yul Kwon, famed Theta Chapter alumni and winner of Survivor, for the closing ceremony of APAutumn 2012. APAutumn is a one-week introductory celebration for our month-long event in April for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM). Yul Kwon was an inspiring speaker and talked extensively about the APA involvement on both a national and the local level. He gave clever insights about his work in DC as well as his time on Survivor. Prior to the event, ASU Council as well as the brothers had the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Kwon for a short Meet and Greet. He was able to learn about the A/APA community here at UVA. He was sincerely interested in the depth and breadth of the students and how far we had come at this institution. This event was definitely one of the highlights of the Fall semester and we look forward to following more of his work.”
