The Fall Semester has been an exciting one at 161 Rugby – we’ve enjoyed having 29 new members in the house, hosted the first annual Chi Phi Oktoberfest, and welcomed a new chapter advisor, Jerry Reid ‘14.
The brotherhood would like to thank all of our generous alumni donors and highlight the renovations and additions to the house that we have made with these donations: a brand new sundeck with a small sitting area, a cleaned up and renovated rock garden, and several pieces of new furniture to fill our first floor.
The addition of new wood floors, chairs, and a new table has made the Sundeck even more of a gathering location. The removal of a rotting wood storage area from the rock garden has opened up the space nicely, allowing us to utilize the space during brotherhood events. Finally, we have filled our first floor with two new couches and a new rug, giving us a space where the entire house can congregate. The brotherhood is grateful for the donations that have allowed us to make these changes, and we look forward to working with the alumni to plan future projects around the house.
