A collaboration of AAPAAN board members and volunteers generate the topics and answer questions from community participants.  Advice panelists for various topics will be recruited by the AAPAAN board.  AAPAAN will attempt to have a regular write-up every couple of weeks but the load will be spread among a number of Panelists and no more than two Panelist will respond to each question.

Advice panelists will cover a range of blog topics including career advice for different industries, AAPAAN events, UVA announcements, and topics specific to the Asian American Alumni community.

PANELIST LIST:

Wee (UVa Engr ‘74, MIT Engr ’76, UPa MBA ‘80) spent his career in many aspects of the Energy business in his 4 years with the US Atomic Energy Commission and 34 years with ExxonMobil. Now retired, he ended his career as VP and Mgr of ExxonMobil’s International Crude Oil Trading.
Curtis (CLAS ’86, Harvard JD ’89) is currently the General Counsel of FTI Consulting, Inc. He began his legal career as a litigation partner in an international law firm. After leaving private practice, he has held senior in-house legal positions in the internet, financial services, media, and telecommunications industries.
Kirstie Chen (UVA, Darden 2011) is currently the Global Product & Pricing Manager at Eastman Chemical Company. Prior to her current role, She was in marketing, corporate strategy and HR consulting.
Om Jahagirdar (BA - 2005; JD - 2008) is a lawyer and focuses on real estate and corporate transactional work. In his spare time, he focuses on 3 F's [Family/friends; Finance (i.e.: personal finance, real estate investing); and Fitness.]

Jamie Rim is an experienced Technical Team Lead and Senior Program Manager in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in Oracle Database, ERP, IT Strategy, Management Consulting, Project Portfolio Management, and Software Documentation, he was a former developer for the EBTS pattern matching and orchestration/integration software and the web-based Pharmaceutical Benefit Management software 'Patient Bridge' for public and private Pharmaceutical and Health Benefit Management Providers (State of Maryland and eMedicalFiles. He was educated from UVA as a Biology Major and studied Epidemiology from the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. His work experiences include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Keyware NV, Accenture, and currently with Mythics, an Oracle Reseller/Integrator. He is a certified PMP, IEEE Certified Biometric Professional, and Oracle Certified Specialist. In his spare time, he loves to read, run, and volunteer for educational causes. Rose (UVA COMM '12) advises Asia-based companies on communications strategy and delivery. She previously worked for HSBC, where she focused on strategic analysis, change management, and employee engagement. She concentrated in finance at McIntire and holds a master's in public relations from NYU. In her spare time, she likes to travel and eat.
