Seasons Greetings from Charlottesville, Brothers!

It’s an exciting time of the year in Charlottesville as Hoo fans say goodbye to a winning football season and look forward to another successful basketball season. Also when Christmas break is completed, it’s a new season for a fresh class of ‘E’s to join ranks in “pledging the hedge” and walk between the gold-painted lions and into 160 Madison Ln.

As the chapter adviser, I am excited to report that Virginia Omicron continues to be an integral part of the Greek system on Grounds. The actives are leaders inside and outside of the classrooms, earning a letter of commendation on their behalf to Nationals from Dean Turner (UVA SAE ’09), Dean of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Most recently Brother Christian Blackwell was awarded a prestigious Greek Endowed Scholarship, given to men and women who exemplify the values of the Fraternity/Sorority system at UVA. I congratulate Christian and the rest of the actives for their continued community service and leadership.

As always, we welcome your engagement and support of the chapter—whether in the form of rush recommendations, sharing an update, stopping by for a gathering during reunions, or your financial support. You can donate to our house fund or education fund managed by Alumni Hall using the link here, or you can make a tax-deductible contribution to the chapter education fund managed by Nationals at www.sae.net/donate, (entering “Virginia Omicron” after selecting the “other fund” option). We thank you for your support and wish you a peaceful and prosperous holiday season!

In bonds,
Sam Carr ’07

As a token of our appreciation, for donations of $250 or more, we would like to send you commemorative glasses (set of 4) featuring none other than the Eminent Hoss, Ike Curry.
