2023 Fall Weekend: Registration is LIVE!

Greetings SAM Alums!

Join us November 2-5, 2023, as we celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the Chapter’s founding and welcome alumni back to Grounds for our annual fall alumni weekend. See below for an overview of our weekend’s itinerary. This will be updated (times and events) as we get closer to the weekend.

Friday, November 3

  • 7:30am–2:00pm – 2023 University of Virginia Investing Conference (UVIC), Kimpton The Forum Hotel
  • 1:00-6:00pm – Hospitality Room on the first floor at the Hampton Inn, 900 West Main Street
    • After you arrive, please join us in the SAM Beta Psi hospitality room to greet fellow brothers and alumni. Please bring your own refreshments.
  • 6:00-8:00pm – Friday Evening Welcome Back Reception, Starr Hill Taproom at the Dairy Market Food Hall (the former Monticello Dairy Building) at 946 Grady Ave
    • Bend your elbow and lend an ear with your fellow alumni at this popular taproom. It is an unreserved space like last year.
    • Dine with the Alumni at the Dairy Market restaurants or make your own arrangements to dine with others at local restaurants around town.

Saturday, November 4

  • 10:00am – More Than the Score Faculty Lecture Series: Artificial Intelligence: Teaching and Learning at UVA in an AI World, UVA Alumni Hall Ballroom
  • Time TBD – UVA vs. Georgia Tech Football Game, Scott Stadium
    • Join us in section 111 of Scott Stadium as our Hoos take on Georgia Tech. A limited number of tickets are available – get yours today!
  • Time TBD – Welcome Back Alumni BBQ Party, SAM House, 129 Chancellor Street
    • Enjoy food and drinks with current brothers and alumni. The current brothers will set up plenty of tables, chairs, and tents (if needed) outside the house.
    • Please register in advance so we have an accurate headcount for the caterer. Single meal tickets are $35, family meal tickets are $85.
      • Sponsorships are available for $400 (Sigma), $250 (Alpha), and $100 (Mu) to those wishing to make a tax- deductible contribution to help the Chapter defray the total costs of this event.

Sunday, November 5

  • 11:08am – Beta Psi Housing Corporation Meeting, Hampton Inn Lobby, 900 West Main Street.
    • This meeting is open to all alumni and brothers.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like contribute to the event, you can sponsor the event. While contributions through this form are tax-deductible, we recommend consulting your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any gift.
