This semester, the Beta Chapter has expanded its vision for philanthropy and community service to encompass numerous organizations across Grounds and the greater Charlottesville community. We are happy to announce we have raised over $5000 for community organizations like the Sexual Assault Resource Agency of Charlottesville and national organizations like St. Jude’s and Service for Sight.
The brotherhood has also volunteered hundreds of hours independently or as a fraternity for organizations on-Grounds, like UVA Sustainability. Looking ahead to next semester, the brotherhood hopes to raise more money, volunteer more hours, and make Sigma Nu a fixture of the UVA and Charlottesville communities that are known for their philanthropic efforts.
Serving as one of the Community Service and Philanthropy Chairman has been one of the most rewarding endeavors I have taken up. It has truly been a pleasure to help the Sigma Nu Beta Chapter give back to a community and university that have given so much to us.
