Dear Alumnae and Friends of the Chorus,
Although the semester is only halfway through, the Chorus has certainly accomplished a lot! We were lucky enough to welcome 13 new members this semester who gracefully plunged into learning music for our Women Against Violence Benefit Concert within the first three weeks of school. The girls have learned a wide variety of music to accommodate both our more traditional events and more contemporary gigs.
It has been my pleasure to continue to work with the Managing and Appointed Boards, as well as our amazing director, KaeRenae Mitchell. We are looking forward to performing with the Virginia Glee Club and the University Singers in the Family Weekend Choral Showcase on Saturday, November 3rd. Shortly after, we will be holding our Annual Candlelight Concerts in the UVa Chapel on December 2nd and 3rd. I cannot believe that after four years of singing with this wonderful chorus, these will be my last Candlelight Concerts. I will always treasure the beauty and magic that comes with performing in such a historic place at the University. We would love to see you at any and all of these events this fall!
I would also like to thank you all for your generous donations during this year’s Annual Fund Drive. As a reminder, if you would like to be recognized in our program, pledges are due by Thursday, November 10th. Again, thank you all for your ongoing love and support.
Sincerely,
Claire Trivisonno
