2015 Letter from the Philanthropy Chairs

A large portion of the brotherhood participated in Habitat for Humanity this year, working to help the less fortunate members of the Charlottesville community. Brothers spent a day building furniture at Habitat for Humanity’s Charlottesville jobsite. We also organized a canned food drive that generated over one hundred cans for the Methodist Church Food Bank. More recently, we had the most participation of any UVa group for the Relay For Life charity event this spring.

Going forward, we plan to build on last year’s All You Can Easters event, which was our flagship philanthropy event for the Alzheimer’s Association that generated large contributions as well as great publicity for the event and for the Brotherhood.
