Letter from the Director: March 2015

Greetings!

We are excited about celebrating our 40th anniversary with a weekend filled with renewing and creating new friendships, fun, and great music! We hope you will join us April 10-12 in lovely Charlottesville! If you have not received information, here is the link for registration. Hope to see you soon!

Thank you for your valuable support. The Chorus would not be able to continue providing an excellent musical experience and a treasured community for the students without your generosity. As always, the ladies work very hard and take great pride in their music, and we hope to make you proud to be associated with such a superb ensemble. Please read the letters from our current president and vice president to catch up on all the details from this academic year.

U.Va. experienced difficult challenges last semester, and the Chorus members rose with dignity and grace, touching many with their powerful music. We were inspired and moved by a letter we received from some of the founding members of the VWC (when it was re-formed as a student-run CIO in 1995). We felt connected, inspired, and grateful, and I hope you will read the excerpt in this newsletter. The community and the purpose that has united us for forty years is palpable.

In an attempt to share our love of music, we are hoping to go on a tour of the Southeastern states in March 2016. If you can help us in any way with locations to sing, please let us know. The Chorus has not been on tour in over 10 years, and the connections, community, and fun are invaluable.

Please remember to visit our websites (the current chorus and the alumnae) and to like our FB page to keep up with the latest news. And please let us hear from you! We’d love to know what’s going on in your life!

Hope to see you in April!

Best,
KaeRenae
