Letter from the Conductor, April 2017

Greetings!kaerenae

Come join us for our Earth Day Spring Concert, “Our Earth is a Garden”, on Saturday, April 22, at 3:30 in Old Cabell Hall. The Chorus will perform a wide variety of music that supports the theme of caring for the earth. Songs by the Wailin’ Jennys (think Parting Glass), a Native American singer (Joanne Shenandoah), and Gjeilo and Whitacre are a few of the selections that will be offered. The UVA bluegrass ensemble will be joining us in the second half, and oboe, flute, piano, and percussion will accompany our first half. We hope to see you there!

The Chorus will sing the National Anthem for the UVA men’s baseball game Sunday, April 9, at 1 PM. Please let us know if you’re interested in attending or getting together!

Keep an eye out for our  “Connections Sing Along”. It will take place in the northern Virginia area during the 2017-2018 year.

Please visit our website , facebook page , and YouTube channel for frequent updates. And view our donors page to see who is supporting the Chorus. Please let us know if your name is not listed correctly or if you would prefer your name be removed from our website. Instructions are at the top of the page. Thanks!

Without you and your incredible support we would not be able to continue providing an excellent musical experience and a treasured community for our members. Thank you for your generosity!

Best,
