Delta chapter set aggressive goals for this year’s rush. Throughout the semester,
the actives identified and nurtured prospective recruits through at social
events. During rush itself, Dominion Gun Range continued to provide great
entertainment for each class. A relatively new addition, Lydia Mountain
Lodge, was also a hit.
The intense preparation provided a high degree of confidence going into
rush. By the end of rush, the chapter was able to predict the spring rush class
size. With so many prospective candidates, voting sessions became more
intense because the quantity of recruits drove up the quality of choices. As
a result, the chapter ended with a record 21 pledges, and also under budget.
