Men of Principle Dinner 2017

December 1 at 7 p.m.

Academic success and extracurricular involvement are two deeply rooted traits of the Omicron chapter of Beta Theta Pi. In 1999, the Beta Theta Pi Foundation established the Men of Principle Scholarship Grant Program to help chapters and colonies recognize non-Greek male students who exemplify mutual assistance, intellectual growth, trust, integrity, and responsible conduct. In order to recognize non-Greek men at the University who live by these traits, Omicron offers 4 annual scholarships totaling $2000 to a select group of first year finalists every fall. Three of the Scholarships are funded by our own Virginia Castle Foundation with the fourth being funded by the General Fraternity. The selection process involves applications, essays, and interviews with Omicron chapter brothers, ending with a brotherhood and applicant banquet where the recipients of the scholarship are announced.

This year’s banquet announcing our Men of Principle Award Winners will occur at 7pm on Friday, December 1 at the University of Virginia’s Colonnade Club. Please RSVP to Chris Thompson at cct5sd@virginia.edu or at 804-426-7741 if you are interested in joining your Beta brothers for the evening’s festivities.
