October 2022
Happy end of National Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month! We hope you had a good month and first few weeks of fall, which is always a time of transition and change.
The Bolívar Network has been working diligently to plan a series of engagements over the coming months. Whether you made it to Grounds for our Young Alumni Reunions (YAR) programming in partnership with The Cultural Organization for Latin Americans (COLA) on October 8, were in the Northern Virginia area for our Latin Heritage Month Social on October 12, or have marked your calendar for our Annual Awards Brunch on December 3, we hope that you’ll take these opportunities to engage with us this fall!
25th Anniversary
As announced in both our spring and summer newsletters, the Bolívar Network is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. After months of collaboration and reviews, we are so excited to formally launch our new logo to reflect our commitment to the BN mission!
Marked by a feather, a symbol of cultural significance to our Hispanic and Latino communities, the emboldened lettering solidifies our dedication to the past, present, and future strength of our alumni at the University of Virginia. We hope that you will join us in celebrating this milestone, and making a gift in honor of Bolívar’s 25th anniversary, as we strive to create connection and community.
