Volunteering
The Cavalier Daily Alumni Association is a strictly volunteer-based organization. As a result, its existence depends on the time and energy of its members. If you would like to devote any amount of time to the CDAA — organizing activities, writing an article for Topics, updating the website, speaking at a workshop, etc.

Donate to the CDAA
Any donation at any time of year will help the CDAA fulfill its mission of supporting The Cavalier Daily.
General Fund
This fund finances all of the CDAA’s non-scholarship activities, which include workshops, networking events, College Topics, and other expenses.
Scholarship Fund
This fund is used to provide for the Kris Pierson Memorial Scholarship, the CDAA/VPA Endowed Scholarship for Community Journalism, and the John Herring Scholarship.
The Jeff Carlton Memorial Scholarship Fund
This new fund is used to provide for the Jeff Carlton Memorial Scholarship for Sports Writing. This new scholarship, to be first offered in 2009, will help provide funding for an aspiring sports journalist to gain a sports-related internship for a summer.
