Kappa Kappa Gamma of University of Virginia is seeking a female to fill the role of Resident Supervisor. This is an ideal position for graduate students and UVA employees, given the location, evening/overnight hours, and residential benefits.

The Resident Supervisor lives on-site in the Chapter House and serves as evening/overnight chaperone for seven nights per week.* Compensation includes living accommodations at 503 Rugby Road (a newly renovated residential suite with separate entrance, including a furnished bedroom, bathroom, work/living room, laundry, and kitchen, as well as access to the main chapter facility and amenities); meals during the academic year when food service is provided; paid vacation during academic breaks, including summer; and a monetary stipend (approximately $12,000-$16,000, depending upon time frame commitment).

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Chapter House Manager, Daytime House Director, the President of the House Board, and House Advisor to ensure the Chapter House runs safely and efficiently.
  • Assist residents with late afternoon/nighttime emergencies.
  • Enforce the House Rules and Public Health Guidelines distributed by the House Manager.
  • Maintain house security including updating the biometric door-lock system if needed during evening hours.
  • Assist the House Board and the Chapter in creating a welcoming, supportive environment for members, families, alumni and staff.
  • Stay overnight in the Chapter House, reporting for duty in late afternoon and remaining present until 8:00 am (or other time agreed up with the House Board) each morning.
  • Place continental breakfast items in residents’ kitchen each morning by 7:30 am (or other time agreed up with the House Board) each morning.
