November 2021

We continued improving the house this Fall. Several alumni and actives participated in another work weekend in October, and the AAG hired contractors to complete several important repairs and improvements. The work completed included:

  • Sanding, staining, and sealing the main stairway and the second-floor landing
  • Building a cabinet for the bar sink and the new dishwasher
  • Repairing the interior window frames and sills on several windows
  • Reinstalling the sink and toilet in the Maidenhead bathroom
  • Painting the exterior doors and trim
  • Some additional electrical and plumbing repairs

The furniture that we ordered this summer was also delivered and set up in October. This included:

  • A complete set of furniture for the chapter room (pictured above)
  • Two bookcases for the tube room
  • A double dresser for the foyer

Overall, we have made substantial improvements to the house as both a home for our fraternity and place for the active brothers to live. We will continue this effort in the spring and summer, focusing on two bedrooms and one bathroom that still need to be refurbished.
