Last semester, the Chapter hosted its 3rd Annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. We were able to raise over $800 directly benefitting the Judy Fund at the Alzheimer’s Association, SAM’s national philanthropy. Currently we are finishing out our letter campaign and looking forward to our next event in a couple weeks. This semester we are having a new event called All You Can Eatsters. It will be hosted in Madison Bowl over Easter weekend and we have already gotten several of the local restaurants to donate food and supplies. We look forward to seeing the UVA community come out and support a great cause while eating some good food. Beyond these events we have continued to strengthen our relationship with Madison House, having several brothers volunteering in local schools and around Grounds, as well as having a few brotherhood volunteering events with groups such as Habitat for Humanity. We will continue our efforts to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association, and to help our community as a whole.
