“KATs at Coupes” is the Delta Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta’s sisterhood event that we put on every semester. Every woman in the chapter looks forward to the event, and it will undeniably be continued for many years to come. Normally held on a Tuesday, the entire chapter gathers in Coupe Deville’s on the Corner for a night of great food and sisterhood bonding. The night is infamous for its bountiful supply of cheesy fries and other favorite greasy snacks. Fourth years, third years, second years, and first years alike catch up, share stories, listen to music and have a night unlike most, a night that is strictly only Thetas. This environment is one in which we truly appreciate what it means to be a Theta and what it means to be part of a community within the University of Virginia. As students, we lead extremely hectic lives with classes, sports, extracurricular activities, meetings, clubs, philanthropies and much more. “KATs at Coupes” is a night in which the entire sorority can put stress aside and enjoy each other’s company. A few weeks ago we had a highly successful fall “KATs at Coupes,” and we are currently working on organizing our next event for the spring where we will welcome our new pledge class. Judging from this semester’s event, the next “KATs at Coupes” could be our best yet.
