With the postponement of the Reunions Weekends from June 2020 until June 2021 and now the cancellation of Homecomings Weekend and related activities, the Board is considering hosting a spring 2021 in-person event to give our alumni bothers an opportunity to reconnect in Charlottesville. This is all dependent, of course, on the status of the pandemic and how well Virginia has done in containing the virus. If you have any initial thoughts, ideas or suggestions please submit them to atwood.mike@verizon.net. One initial suggestion was convening at the Foxfield Races in the spring (typically the last weekend in April), again assuming the races are on schedule as usual. Foxfield has the advantage of being an outside event and venue so the safety of our brothers and guests would be enhanced in such a setting.
The Board will monitor the status of the virus and the associated University and Commonwealth restrictions. If signs and trends are favorable over the winter please watch your e-mail for both an announcement and a survey regarding a possible spring event along with a chance to convey your level of interest in such an event.
