Xi Chapter Annual Fundraising – To Protect and Preserve
The Xi Chapter Board is pleased to announce the 2014 launch of our Annual Fundraising Campaign. We have one of the finest facilities at the University and the Annual Fund will ensure that we protect our investment.
The purpose of the Annual Fund is twofold:
- To build a reserve fund: While it is true that most of the house is virtually new, there are current and future needs. As examples, the historic in-line gutters must be replaced within the next three years at a cost of $15,000, the roof on the main house occasionally leaks and was recently repaired, and garage work is ongoing. Within the next 3 to 5 years, the house itself will need attention to maintain its current condition.
- To assist in servicing our debt of $480,000 from the renovation, while keeping recently increased rent for undergraduate brothers competitive with other UVA fraternities.
For the Annual Fund, our primary goal is to maximize participation and to exceed the 400 brothers who supported the Capital Campaign.
Please consider either a five-year pledge or an annual contribution in one of the following amounts:
Five Year: $5,000 $2,500 $1,250 $500
Annual: $1,000 $500 $250 $100
Although we ask you to consider a five-year pledge because it helps our future planning, a single-year pledge or donation is also greatly appreciated.
As an alternative to the five year pledge commitment, sending a contribution for this year by December 31, 2013 would be greatly appreciated as well.
We have all seen what the support of so many brothers in this renaissance of Xi Chapter has provided for both our facility and our renewed brotherhood. We look forward to hosting alumni at Annual Homecoming Tailgate parties and other exciting events. Please help us ensure that we are on a solid financial footing in the years to come.
