Despite being completely virtual, our 22nd annual Fall Weekend highlighted leaders who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the LGBTQ+ community on Grounds and around the world — from the founders of our organization to today’s student leaders and elected officials. 

Vicki Gist — our 2020 Outstanding Service Award recipient — perfectly summed up the underlying message for this year’s Fall Weekend and for every day moving forward, calling on us to “continue to nurture and support each other, and mold UVA into the best possible place for LGBTQ+ students to live and learn.”

As this year comes to a close, we are reminded of the support that has enabled us to create our Hardship Fund to aid students — especially those affected by COVID-19. The generosity of many has also helped us award more than $200,000 in scholarships and grants to 40 amazing students this year.  Initiatives like these would not be possible without your support and engagement, and for that, we are immensely grateful. Thank you.
