At the end of 2018, we closed our 5-year Annual Fund campaign. Started following the renovation, the fund was a tremendous success, generating $165k in pledges. In 2019, we have focused on collecting the balance of outstanding pledges and have over $150k collected to-date.
During the 5-year annual fund, we have used the proceeds for a number of capital improvement projects that were outside the scope of the 2012 renovation. We have replaced the in-line gutters, installed new windows on the front of the house, painted the main level, removed several trees, and made numerous investments to the yard and grounds. This year, we tackled our largest project since the renovation when we replaced the main level floors and stair risers.
Following the Annual Fund campaign, we have considered an ongoing alumni annual giving program. Year-end is when many of us think of charitable giving, and there is no better time than now to make a tax-deductible contribution to Xi Chapter through our Annual Giving. You have been most generous in the past, but we depend on continuing support through the brotherhood for ongoing improvements.
